About Us
Our Story
Porterhouse Steakhouse & Coffee Bar is situated in the heart of Aberdeenshire in Thainstone Centre, Inverurie. Boasting an inspirational menu and serving exclusively seasonal, locally-sourced cuisine, Porterhouse showcases only the finest food from the North East of Scotland.
As a division of ANM Group, Scotland’s leading cooperative farming, food and finance business, we are part of the local agricultural community and are proud to serve the very best that Aberdeenshire larder has to offer.
Our award-winning restaurant is named after the cut of steak famous the world over for its flavour and special qualities. Preparing and serving flavoursome steak is our passion, whatever your preferred cut may be. Whether it is a juicy fillet, a succulent sirloin, a ribeye or a Chateaubriand for two, our chefs treat our top-quality steaks with the care and respect they deserve and will prepare your order to your exact preference. Our personal recommendation – the Tomahawk steak – is the first cut from the sirloin and is served on the bone with a rich, marbled texture. A cut owing its name to its hatchet-like appearance, the Tomahawk is thick, juicy, and the perfect choice for a true steak lover.
On top of our world-class entrees served each evening, Porterhouse also offers a host of delicious food and beverage options throughout the day and a variety of weekly special offers. We proudly brew Starbucks coffee and are open for breakfast and lunch all week, with takeaway options available from 7.00am to 3.00pm – simply call us to place an order and we’ll have it prepared and ready for you to collect in a matter of minutes.

Our Team
Field To Fork Experience
At Porterhouse, we believe that the best food is local food – from field to fork.
The North East of Scotland is home to some of the best farmland and is renowned for producing quality livestock – and this is why we only prepare food with ingredients that are sourced from our local community.
We are proud of our farming heritage, and the quality of our meat is endorsed by the Scottish Beef Club and Quality Meat Scotland. Our prime cuts are sourced from Scotbeef, Inverurie, where they are dry aged on the bone for a minimum of 21 to 28 days – we can trace every forkful of prime beef back to the field, and could maybe even introduce you to a farmer or two.
